Ms. Bove

4th Grade

Dear 4th Grade Families,

Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Erin Bove (pronounced Bov-E) and I am so excited for my third year teaching at Northeast!

I was born and raised in Boulder and attended college at Colorado State University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in English. I later completed my Masters in Elementary Education with a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse endorsement. After college, I spent time working at a non-profit before moving to Thailand to teach English, which is where I discovered my love for education. Although I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel and explore, Colorado truly holds a special place in my heart and I don’t plan on leaving any time soon. When I’m not in the classroom, I like spending time with my fiancé, Dexter, and our dog, Barnaby, doing yoga, reading, and hanging out with family and friends. I am probably the only Colorado native that doesn't ski or snowboard but I did grow up horseback riding!

I thoroughly look forward to meeting and forming a strong classroom community. My favorite part of being a teacher is seeing students discover passions that will guide them for the rest of their lives. I believe in creating meaningful, engaging learning opportunities that are appealing for a variety of learning styles and getting to know my students and their families as individuals. I truly hope that my students will enjoy coming to school every day as much as I do and I hope to be able to support them in reaching their own individual goals throughout our year together. As a teacher, my goal is to provide an environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and being an active participant in our classroom.

Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns. I’m looking forward to the beginning of the school year and hope you are as well!

Sincerely,

Ms. Erin Bove
