Dear 4th Grade Families,
Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Erin Bove (pronounced Bov-E) and I can’t wait to begin getting to know the students, families, and staff that make up this special community! This will be my second year teaching and my first year at Northeast.
I discovered my love of teaching after spending a year in Thailand teaching English to elementary schoolers. I’ve always dreamed of finding a career that makes me excited to get out of bed in the morning and teaching is definitely that for me. I was born and raised in Boulder and attended college at Colorado State University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in English. I also earned my Masters in Education with a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse endorsement this past December. Although I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel and explore, Colorado truly holds a special place in my heart and I don’t plan on leaving any time soon. When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time with family, friends, and my dog, Barnaby. I also like yoga, reading, and watching movies.

Favorite Food: Pizza. I also have a big sweet tooth.

I thoroughly look forward to meeting and forming a strong classroom community. My favorite part of being a teacher is seeing students discover passions that will guide them of the rest of their lives. I believe in creating meaningful, engaging learning opportunities that are appealing for a variety of learning styles and getting to know my students and their families as individuals. I truly hope that my students will enjoy coming to school every day as much as I do and I hope to be able to support you in reaching your own individual goals throughout our year together. As your teacher, my goal for you is to take risks and be an active participant in our classroom. We will have many opportunities for collaboration and I encourage active communication between myself, my students, and their families.
Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns. I’m looking forward to the beginning of the school year and hope you are as well!
Ms. Erin Bove
