MEET AND GREET IS SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, AUGUST 12TH.

We are excited and happy to continue with this BCE tradition this year. As always, please plan on attending your assigned time slot. (If you have multiple children, you may attend more than one session.) During this time, your child will come to school for orientation and to drop off supplies. For families who ordered school supplies last spring, supplies have been delivered to BCE and will be given to students at Meet and Greet.

Session 1: 8:30-9:45 AM (Students last names A-L)

Session 2: 10:00-11:15AM (Students last names M-Z)

The goal of education is to inspire students to be creative, self-reliant individuals who positively contribute to their community. The best learning environment to achieve this is one that encourages and educates the whole student emotionally, physically and cognitively.

I believe that students are naturally curious about the world around them. This curiosity needs to be fostered through real life connections, hands on experiences and discussions.

First grade is a time to build on the joy, exploration and wonder of kindergarten and continue to cultivate a love of learning!

About Ms. Phillips

Hi! I’m Cyndi Phillips, and I’ll be your child’s first grade teacher this year. I strive to create a classroom that’s safe, supportive, and fun, where every child can grow and make lasting memories. This is my 19th year teaching, and I’ve taught grades K, 1, 4, 5, 6, and 7. I’m excited to start this new school year with you!

I grew up near Dallas, Texas, and earned my education degree from the University of North Texas. My family moved to Colorado in 2009, and we love living near the beautiful mountains! I live in Highlands Ranch with my fiancé Kevin, and my three kids—Allie, Tyler, and Ryan—all of whom have attended BCE!

Outside of school I am a busy, proud and involved mom. Allie is a sophomore and baton twirler at Kansas State University, Tyler is a senior at Mountain Vista High School where he plays percussion in the band, and Ryan, our football player, is in 8th grade at Mountain Ridge Middle School. In my free time, we enjoy family time with my 3 kids and my partner's 2 grown boys. Together we have a fun, crazy family of 7! We enjoy traveling, gardening, cooking, weekend mountain getaways, cheering on K-State football and spending time with our pets—Marley the dog and our cats Mitzy and Fritzen.
