Howdy and welcome to 8 Chalenger Point Math!  My name is Mr. Jackson and this is my second year at Mountain Ridge Middle School.  I know that we will all have a great year at MRMS.  

A little bit about me. This is my fifth year as a Math teacher.  Previous to my career in education, I was a stay-at-home dad and worked in technology sales.  I have four sons, ages 21, 19, 16, and 10.  My two oldest are off at college in Ohio (Miami University) and Kansas (Benedictine College).  

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, playing chess, watching sports (Texas A&M Aggies and Houston Astros), and cooking Texas BBQ.

I have a fierce passion for teaching Math and strive to get to know my students on a personal level.  I believe this leads to a classroom environment where students look forward to Math class every day and hopefully learn a bit along the way.
