Amy Opdyke, Early Childhood Instructor (ECI)
Hello my name is Amy Opdyke. This is my 4th year as the ECI at Mammoth Heights. I have been in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 25 years. I am originally from a small town in upstate NY and have lived in Colorado since 1990.
I believe that children learn by example. As an early childhood educator I feel if I give them the correct tools and guidance they can accomplish anything. Independence is very important in a child's growth and development. Building a strong foundation socially, emotionally and academically is the key to building a strong, confidant child.
Christy Irwin, Occupational Therapist (OT)
I have been and O.T. for many years… let’s just say more than 10 but less than 50! I’m a Colorado native and graduate from CSU. I have a 10-year-old daughter and a Goldendoodle that keep me on my toes. I enjoy spending time outdoors. I have a love for children and for learning. There is nothing better than watching children’s excitement with new activities and seeing them constantly change. I look forward to working with your child this year.
Alicia Clapes, Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP)
Hi my name is Alicia Clapes. I am the Speech Language Pathologist for both MHE Preschools. This is my eleventh year in Douglas County Preschools, and my twelfth year as a Speech Language Pathologist. I love spending time with my family, and I currently live in Parker with my husband, my 18-month old son Ian and our dog Lola. I look forward to working with your child this year!
