Reecently awarded a Donors Choose grant for "Learning Math Concepts with Picture Books"

I started teaching in DCSD in 1997 while completing my MA at CU Denver in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus in Literacy. I have taught both primary and intermediate grades. I have been a staff developer/trainer for Thinking Math, a cooperative teacher for UNC student teachers,  and published multiple articles on study skills. I am currently the RTI Specialist/Interventionist here at Iron Horse Elementary.
