HOSA (Future Health Professionals) is a professional student organization for those who are interested in pursuing careers in the health and biomedical science fields. Over the past several years, our chapter has grown to over 80 members. We have consistently performed exceptionally well at the annual Colorado State Leadership Conference, and attended and competed in the International Leadership Conference each year as well. We compete in knowledge and skills events such as Medical and Dental Terminology, Medical Math, Behavioral Health, Human Growth and Development, Medical Law and Ethics, Pharmacology, Biomedical Laboratory Science, Clinical Nursing, Dental Science, Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine, and Veterinary Science, to name just a few. In addition, we compete in Emergency Preparedness, Teamwork, and Leadership events such as CERT Skills, CPR/First Aid, Medical Reserve Corps Partnership, Extemporaneous Writing, Prepared Speaking, Researched Writing and Speaking, Community Awareness, Creative Problem Solving, Forensic Science, HOSA Bowl, and Medical Innovation, among many others. All donations will support Mountain Vista HOSA members by reducing the cost of attending HOSA State and International Leadership Conferences.
