Explore ~ Create ~ Innovate

My Name is Anne Butterworth and I am excited to start my 22nd year as an educator and my first year at Gold Rush Elementary. I am excited to get you know every student and support their journey in exploring, creating, and innovating the world around us!

Family

I am lucky to say I married my high school sweetheart. We have three children Aubrey (20), Kayden (18), and Gavin (11). We first moved to Parker, CO in 2001. Before spending some time in Lake Tahoe, California and returning to Parker in 2017.

Aubrey currently serves in the US Navy and is stationed in Japan. Kayden is attending Husson University in Maine to study nursing and Gavin is a 6th grader at Sagewood Middle School.

With only one kid at home we have increased our opportunities for adventure.

We also love animals. We currently have two dogs, two guinea pigs, and 1 bird.

Learning

I grew up in Littleton and graduated from Littleton High School before moving to Fort Collins and completing my bachelors degree in Technology Education.

I started my teach career working at Euclid Middle School where I had also attended before moving with my family to California.

While in California I completed my Master's Degree in Technology Education taught elementary computers in Truckee, CA. and engineering design courses in Tahoe City before moving into school administration.

Upon returning to Colorado I completed my doctorate in Organization Leadership at the University of LaVerne and have worked with world-renowned education organizations to support and innovate the K-12 education system.
