Student Assistance Department Mission:
To engage and empower students and families in academics and social emotional learning by providing diverse and strength based educational opportunities.

Services Provided:
Staff in the DC Student Assistance Department provide District-wide services in the following ways:
DC Student Support Center: Academic Programming, which includes Credit Recovery and/or GED
Truancy Interventions: Student Attendance Review Board (SARB) and Community-partnerships
GED Program at Daniel C. Oakes High School
Expulsion Services: Services for Expelled Students in partnership with students' home schools
Dropout Reduction
Grant Writing: Expelled and At-Risk Student Services (EARSS) Grant
Homebound Programming
Hybrid & eLearning Support: Tutoring & Resources for Hybrid & eLearning students
