The Cougar Run Garden

We are proud to be the caretakers of the Cougar Run Garden. The second graders plan, plant, and maintain the garden all year. We explore life sciences through our hands on garden lessons and investigations. This spring the garden went through a big transition, changing from a vegetable garden to a Colorado native plant pollinator garden. It is buzzing with life and learning opportunities!

Diagnostic testing occurs three times each school year. Children will work on practice lessons for both reading and math in the classroom for a total of an hour each week. iReady practice is not assigned as homework in 2nd grade. iReady Parent Link
