CMS Learning Commons strives to be the a academic hub of our school and a place that all students are empowered to be seekers of information and creators of ideas. The staff is here to support literacy, technology, collaboration, and research among the students and staff.
The Learning Commons will:
- aid in the development of digital and information literacy of all students;
- provide a collection that meets the needs of students and staff for personal and academic growth; and
- employ and inquiry based approach for learning and understanding information.
- create learners with critical thinking, problem solving, and adaptability skills.
Policies and Hours:
The Learning Commons is open every day at 7:10 AM. Ms. King will be here and you are more than welcome to come in a check-out a book, play games, or hang-out with your friends. The LC closes @ 3:00 daily.
Checkout Policies: You may check out up to five books and two magazines. They are due back to the Learning Commons in 21 days.
We have some Kindle's available for checkout in the Learning Commons. Before you are allowed to check them out, a permission slip needs to be signed by you and your guardian.
When you have turned the agreement in to the Learning Commons, you will then be given information on how to check one out.
