Hello everyone! My name is Mrs. Betts. I am very excited to be your math teacher this year!
I am married and have two young girls at home (10 and 13). To the left is a picture of me with my husband and two girls hiking up Mt. Falcon in Morrison. We spend a lot of the time in the summer camping, biking and hiking and enjoy skiing in the winter. Both of my girls play soccer, so we spend many hours at the soccer fields watching them practice and play.
I recently graduated from Regis University with my Master of Education, and have a B.S. in Computer Science. I enjoy seeing how math can be applied to every aspect of life and want to pass on the importance of math to my students. I enjoy playing games in class and always look for ways to make learning math more fun.
For any questions or concerns, I respond best via email cbetts1@dcsdk12.org.
Math 7 and Accelerated Math 7:
Spiral Notebook or Composition Notebook

If you have any questions regarding materials or need help in obtaining these items please email me. I will do everything I can to ensure students have what they need to be successful in my class.
1) Find out what’s being tested.
- Look for a practice test/instructions
- Look at a study guide
2) Review your notes/rewrite/clarify.
- Try to rewrite notes based on your list of what is tested
- Try to create notes like a fill in the blank problem
- Look at your mistakes and add “HINTS” to your notes
3) Review your old work/redo/fix
- Make a new page with the problems you struggled with, try again
- Review old quizzes and re-do problems from the start
4) Make a practice test for yourself.
- Google the skills and find a similar test
- Ask your friends/teacher to make up problems.
