Hi Pine Grove families! I’m Mrs. Burns-Campbell, your friendly neighborhood art teacher, and I’m thrilled to kick off another creative, colorful, slightly paint-splattered year! This is my 21st year teaching art (yes, I started when I was five 😄) and my 14th year here at Pine Grove—my home away from home. I live with my husband, our awesome son (who’s now a 1st grader at Pine Grove!), our two wild and lovable dogs, Vanni and Clyde, and Yoshi... our axolotl. (If you don’t know what that is, just imagine a smiling salamander with feathery gills and a very chill vibe.) When I’m not in the art room, I love being in nature and making my own art. This year, your young artists will be diving into the process and joy of creating, experimenting with all kinds of materials, learning about amazing artists, and discovering the magical guidelines that help art come to life.
