Call a recommended teacher. Set up a trial lesson with your student. If your student leaves the lesson having learned new information, continue – if they leave the lesson with not much more info than when they arrived, try another teacher. Scheduling may also determine which teacher will work, too.

A budget-friendly alternative to private lessons with a professional is a private lesson with one of our DCG high school band students. These students have been selected based on their ability on their instrument. Also, many of our DCG high school students use these lessons to earn their Silver Cord hours.
