..and now, I'm super excited to be starting my second year as a Jones-Wheat GATOR teaching Self-Contained Special Education for K-2nd Grade for students with Autism and other Impairments🐊
I have a Master of Science degree from Troy University in Post-Secondary English Education and am certified through GaDOE and GaPSC for 6th-12th English Language Arts, PreK-12th Consultative SPED Adapted Curriculum, PreK-12th Consultative SPED General Curriculum, and SPED Language Arts for Cognitive Levels with PreK-12th Grade. As a member and leader in the Georgia Association of Educators (GAE), I am also the active Association Representative (AR) contact at JWP. In addition to teaching, I enjoy being the SPED Department contact/designer for the Yearbook Committee and using my digital creation skills to generate QR Codes for the programs and other festivities at JWP.
My husband Anthony and I have been married for a little over ten years and have two amazing children and six "fur babies"; Kyler is 8 years old and attends 3rd Grade at HES, and Averlee is 5 years old and attends PreK at JWP. Kyler loves anything STEAM, drawing, robotics, and Legos while Averlee loves dancing, singing, collecting "stuffies," modeling, competing in pageants; and jumping on the trampoline. Our life is messy, crazy, loud, chaotic, and fun... but I would not have it any other way - I am so blessed! I look forward to working with your child to get them motivated and celebrating every goal or milestone they reach. Most importantly, my goal is to involve my students' families through clear, consistent communication in order to help students reach their fullest potential possible.
