MELISSA BRYANT

This year marks Mrs. Bryant’s thirteenth year in education.  She knew from a young age that God called her to be a teacher, and she is grateful for every outstanding teacher along the way who intensified and solidified that desire.

Mrs. Bryant graduated from Bainbridge High School in 2007 as the valedictorian of her class. Desiring to be close to family, she attended Bainbridge College and Thomas University and received her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a specialty in English. She began her teaching career at Grace Christian Academy where she taught English to grades six through twelve for two years.  She then taught eighth grade English at Bainbridge Middle School for four years.  This year will be Mrs. Bryant’s sixth year at Bainbridge High School where she currently teaches Ninth Grade Literature. Ultimately, she feels honored and humbled to be a part of students’ lives, and she doesn’t take that opportunity lightly.

Mrs. Bryant’s relationship with Christ and her relationships with family are of the utmost importance. She and her family regularly attend the First Church of the Nazarene in Bainbridge. She has been married to John Mark Bryant, a lineman with Grady EMC, for twelve years, and they have a son named Lake, who is eight years old and attends West Bainbridge Primary. She is also close to her parents Jacky and Diane Grubbs, sister Mandy Thompson, and niece Emma Thompson, who is a junior at BHS.

In her spare time, Mrs. Bryant is passionate about interior design and spends time researching her favorite designers and trends, shopping for home decor, and decorating her own home.
