Architectural & Engineering Design

In this class, we look at the world of Architecture and Engineering Design. You will have the opportunity to look at several different jobs and careers to see what it is that peaks your interest. We begin drawing by hand then go into computer-aided drawings.  You will learn and use several different software such as  Autocad, ONShape, SolidWorks, CorelDraw, and Revit. In the 3rd year of this program, you will assist in running DC Laser Design Company. This opportunity exposes you to customer service, design, contracts, and sales. In the 4th year, you can do an internship at several different companies in Dickson and Nashville which allows you hands-on, real-world experience. We have a club, TSA (Technology Students Association), where you are able to compete with other students across the state and at a national level. We do offer an industry certification test called Certified User in AutocadCertified User in Revit. You can receive Local Dual Credit from Nashville state for up to 9 credit hours.
