A confirmation message will appear. You may receive a confirmation email and/or text message, as well.
If no appointments are available, click on "Report unable to find appointment". Fill in the details of the class or subject you are needing assistance with. The SARC team will work to find a suitable tutor as soon as possible.
If you're working on a specific assignment, bring everything you need for that assignment. This includes assignment handouts, rubrics, required readings or reference materials. This will help your tutor know exactly what is needed for the assignment and help you accomplish your goals.
The SARC is a judgement-free zone. There's no such thing as a silly question. Remember, asking questions shows that you're actively engaged in your own learning, and it's better to ask and learn from misconceptions and mistakes. Your SARC team is here to support you in your endeavors.
Your SARC tutors and peer tutors are here to help you succeed. That being said, there's a few things we will refrain from doing in your best interests.
We will do our best to help you:
Recognize your strengths.
Identify areas for growth.
Learn and apply new concepts.
To help you do these things, we will not:
Do assignments for you.
Perform research for you.
Record inaccurate SARC visits.
Food and drink are welcome in the SARC (within reason - please, no outside banquets or potlucks). You are welcome to bring in meals or snacks to your tutoring appointments. Additionally, the SARC has popcorn, coffee, tea, and other snacks on-hand to keep you energized during your studies.
