Under the DCHS Student Folder, click "Overdrive (e-books)"
This should pop up a window asking if you want to go to Sora. Click on "Take me to this page in Sora".
If this window does not immediately pop up, go ahead and sign in to Overdrive (using your student or staff number as your username and your last name as your password). Once signed in, you should be able to scroll down and find a link to Sora.
You will be taken to the Sora login page.
Use your student number for the Username and your last name for the Password.
This will take you to the Explore page in Sora. You can look for books in our DC High School collection from here. But if you want to access the Great River Regional Library system, do this:
Look at the top left hand of the page. It says Dassel-Cokato Schools with a drop down button.
Click on the drop down button and click "Add a library".
You will be brought to a page called "Find your library"
Start typing Great River Regional Library. When Great River Regional Library pops up, click on "This is my library".
You will be brought to the GRRL digital collection page. You can search their collection from here.
When you choose a book to look at, you will get the book's page like this one and you can borrow it by clicking the "Borrow" button. If it isn't available right now, instead of "Borrow" it will say "Place hold".
When you click "Borrow" or "Place hold" it will ask you to sign in again.
**Select Dassel-Cokato Public School District 466, even though you are searching the Great River Regional Library catalog.**
It may populate your number and password (if you saved it initially), or you may need to re-enter it. Use your student number as the Card Number and your last name as the PIN. After entering the login information, you may need to click on Borrow again.
You can access the GRRL collection anytime by going to Sora and clicking on the Great River Regional Library collection page under the Explore page.
You are also able to read or listen to these books on the Sora app on your phone. Just download the app to your phone and use your DC login information.
If you have any questions about this process, contact Mrs. Wallace or Mr. Larson in the Media Center.
Happy reading!
