This is the application guidelines for graduate students (including prospective students) wishing to reside at Keimei-Kan. Applicants should carefully read the following guidelines and proceed to the application screen via the button at the bottom of the page.
Applications for residence at the Komeikan International Student Dormitory are accepted twice a year, in February and August.
The residence period at Keimei-Kan is one year, and those wishing to extend must reapply. If the number of applicants exceeds the available spots, selection is made by lottery; being selected previously does not guarantee selection this time. Therefore, it is not suitable for those seeking long-term housing, such as for thesis writing or studying for the bar exam. We strongly recommend considering other Hitotsubashi University dormitories or private housing options.
If you apply to Keimei-Kan and other International Residence Halls (Ikkyo-Ryo, Chuwa-Ryo, International House Kunitachi) and are selected for both, you must reside at Keimei-Kan.
During application, you will be required to upload the following documents for identity verification. Please prepare them in advance.
Current Student:Copy of Hitotusbashi University's student ID card
Prospective Japanese and permanent resident student:Copy of identification papers
Prospective international students:Copy of residence card or passport
