Distance Education Courses

Overview

Is there a course you are passionate about that is not offered at St Peter’s? A Distance education course might suit you for your future. 

There are some students who want to study a course but due to the pattern of the subject lines, are not able to do so. For some students studying a course online is a good option. Online courses are offered by several providers including the Catholic Schools Office of Broken Bay (e.g. Japanese), The Diocese of Lismore (e.g. Engineering, Economics and Aboriginal Studies) and the NSW School of Languages (e.g. Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Modern Greek, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish). Distance Education courses incur an additional cost for families. Most providers normally charge parents for their child to study online with them and for some students studying online can be very difficult. However, where a student has the capacity to study in an online environment and has a passion for a subject, then pursuing this type of study can be very rewarding. 

If you are interested in studying online, discuss this option with the Curriculum Administration Lead and complete an Expression of Interest form.
