Biography:
Sia Kate Isobelle Furler was born in Adelaide, South Australia on the 18th of December, 1975. She is a successful Singer, Songwriter, Voice - Actor and Director of her own movie.
Ever since she started her career in 1990, she has been nominated for 9 Grammies, 24 APRA nominations and 11 APRA wins, she has won the ARIA Music Awards 10 times and has had 31 nominations for the ARIA Music Awards, she has been nominated for 2 Golden Globe Awards, 6 times for the Billboard Music Awards, 4 times for the iHeartRadio Music Awards, has been nominated for the LOS40 Music Awards 10 times and has won 3 times, has won the MTV Video Music Awards once and was nominated 8 times, she won the Rolling Stone Australia Awards once and was nominated 2 times and finally, she was nominated for the World Music Awards 4 times.
That brings all her nominations to 229 nominations and 68 wins over her whole career.
In the mid 1990’s, she attended Adelaide High School, in Adelaide, SA. She started her career as a singer, by joining a local Acid Jazz band called, Crisp.
It is arguable that Sia deserves a place in Australian History, because since her launch in Songwriting and Fame, more artists and songwriters from Australia have been recognised. Her rise in popularity has changed Australian history forever as she showed the world, our country existed and that legends could be made from our small island home.
In the start of 2021, SIA released her film, Music. Music is about a girl named Kazu or Zu, who is about to become the caretaker / guardian of her half - sister, Music, who is on the Autism Spectrum. This movie is largely disliked though it being well directed by Sia herself and it’s supposed to be about awareness of people on the austistic spectrum but, it displayed itself badly as the opposite.
