Carrie Bickmore OAM is a radio presenter and has won many awards. She has 3 children and her husband died because of cancer.
Carrie was born in Adelaide on the 3rd of December 1980. When she was young, Carrie and her family moved to Perth Western Australia. Bickmore attended the school of Anglican Girls in Perth and then went to university where she studied journalism.
Bickmore has gone through a lot. Giving birth to son Ollie in 2007 and her husband Greg Lange was unfortunately found dead on December 27th, 2010 due to brain cancer. Later she married Chris Walker and gave birth to their second child, Evie, in 2015. A few years later she had her latest child named Adelaide.
Carrie has accomplished many things so far in life such as winning two Logie Awards and one gold Logie. Bickmore is currently co-hosting a television show named ‘ The Project’ alongside Tommy Little. Bickmore has also founded the organisation ‘ Beanies for Brain Cancer ‘ and has raised over 18 million dollars so far.
Along with her husband dying because of brain cancer, Carrie has had some major events in her life. Other than having kids, Carrie has been nominated for many awards such as ‘Most Popular Presenter’ and ‘Most Popular Female Talent’. But she has also won awards such as a Gold Logie and two Logie awards.
Carrie’s Beanies for Brain Cancer Foundation is very successful and is aiming to raise money for researchers to find a cure for brain cancer. Carrie Bickmore’s impact on society is amazing and will touch people's hearts for years to come.
