Yogesh Kumar completed his M.Sc. in Physics from Hansraj College, University of Delhi. He has been taught in different Colleges of University of Delhi since 2009 and currently working at Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi. He was conferred his Doctorate of Philosophy by the University of Delhi in 2013. His broad area of specialization is High Energy Physics (Theoretical). He received prestigious fellowship from CSIR-(NET-JRF) also called for SPM Fellowship and also received UGC-Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship. He has more than 35 publications in reputed refereed journal including national and international conference proceedings. He has presented several papers in the national and international conferences also invited as a speaker in universities/institutes. He has appointed as an Executive Council member of Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT, RC-1) 2017-2021 and Secretary IAPT RC-1 2022-24. He is a Life time member of BARC, IAPT, IETE, IPA etc. He has written two chapters of Statistical Mechanics for PG students syllabus at Uttarakhand Open University. He has received Best Presentation Award in the IAPT, RC-1 in 2019, Best Young Researcher Award in 2021 in international conference (ICAIR) and also awarded for Best Oral Presentation in NCAIR-2021. He has organized many online talks, seminars and conferences for the students and faculties. He worked as a resource person in DU Pre-Entrance summer school at Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi in the year 2017, 2018 and 2019. He was a coordinator and resource person in INSPIRE-DST Internship Programme in the department of physics, Deshbandhu college, University of Delhi in 2017. He worked as an organizer and resource person in the Learning Physics with conceptual and problem based approach organised by NASI Delhi chapter 2020. He was the member of Final drafting team LOCF (CBCS) for undergraduate students and working group member in designing the syllabus of solid state physics for B.Sc. (Hons) Physics and B.Sc. Physical Sciences students, LOCF (CBCS) Undergraduate Physics courses revision of Delhi University, 2019. He is an active member of various committee in his college.
