Hi! I am very excited for this school year to begin!  This is my 12th year working at Shady Grove.  I was a teacher assistant for several years before becoming a full-time teacher in 2016.  I have a Bachelor of Science from Radford University but went back to Salem College to earn my teaching certificate.  This is my sixth year as a full-time teacher at Shady Grove.  I previously taught 4th grade for 1 year and 2nd for 4 years, and I love being in 3rd grade!  My husband Greg and I have been married for 26 years and we have two sons. Cole (24) attended Radford University and double majored in Computer Science and Cybersecurity.  He earned his Master's degree from UNCC  in Cybersecurity and is now working in MD. Christopher (21) is working on his Master's in Economics at UNCC and will graduate in December 2022.  Both of our boys attended the Davie County Early College High School and enjoyed their time there very much.  In my free time, I enjoy working in the yard, reading, spending time with my friends and family, and relaxing on the couch.  The best way to contact me is through my school email  overstreett@davie.k12.nc.us  or through ClassDojo.  Feel free to reach out to me with any questions, comments, or concerns.
