Classroom Management

The fourth grade teachers will be using Class Dojo (an online classroom management system) to support our school wide expectations. All parents are highly encouraged to connect to their child's homeroom teacher through the class dojo app for daily communication and feedback regarding your child's behavior. Shady Grove is a PBIS school which stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support. This means that we encourage students to make good behavioral choices using a positive approach. Students will be awarded "positive" points for smart behavioral choices and they will be able to exchange their points for free classroom coupons for various rewards such as "homework pass", "bring your favorite stuffie to school", "crazy hat day", etc.
