Environmental Club is a volunteer group here at Central and is for anyone and everyone who cares about the earth. In this club we will be taking care of the garden, recycling, and participating in projects related to environmental protection, conservation and awareness.
The Garden – We have a small garden here at Central near the North Parking lot. We will be planting new flowers in the spring and maintaining the garden throughout the summer.
Recycling – We are working to start a more robust recycling program in the building by having special bins in classrooms for students to use to recycle their cans, bottles, and glass.
Projects – We participate in at least 2 campus clean-ups annually by hosting one in the fall and one in the spring. We pick up trash around the school campus and beautiful our garden.
Volunteer Opportunities – We will partner with local organizations to join them in community events related to environmental protection and awareness.
Awareness – We have plans for building wide educational awareness on environmental issues and little things we can do to make a big difference together.
The club meetings are every other Tuesday in room 517 after school.
The Advisors are: Ms. Cari Johnson and Ms. Mechelle Janz
