We start the yearbook the first week of the school year and finish early in the spring in order to get the book delivered and distributed before school is out for the summer. 

Introduction to Journalism is a prerequisite to join Yearbook Lab. Lab can be taken multiple times throughout a student's high school career, earning elective credits each time. 

Yearbook is co-curricular, meaning you have to be in a class at the same time to participate. 

Ask your counselor about taking the Introduction to Journalism class while you are signing up for classes at Central. 

In the Introduction to Journalism course, you will be introduced to journalistic writing, photojournalism, and design.

From there, you can join the yearbook staff! 

Even if it doesn't fit into your schedule due to additional elective courses, you can take it as a 5th block and still earn credit.
