All workshops require the following resources supplied by the host school
A projector with a large screen, so all participants can read from anywhere in the room [must be able to read screen]
A power plug for the consultant's computer for the presentation
either a VGA or HDMI plug to the projector
consultant's personal computer needs to be plugged in at the front of the room near the screen
With groups of over 60, a hand-less (clip-on) microphone for the speaker
For groups over 60, please have participants assigned a number [i.e., 1, 2, 3], for a random selection (CFU)
Internet/WIFI access
Participants are seated in groups of 6 - 8 people per table (10 max per table), so they can interact and teach/practice the strategies
All participants should be able to face the screen comfortably (no backs should be to the screen)
A desk at the front of the room for the computer, notes, and equipment
Every participant needs the EDI Fundamentals workshop printed or digital link for their computer (teachers can choose to bring their laptops)
Every participant needs a copy of the TAPPLE, Engagement Norms, and Effective Feedback posters. Rule of 2, and Lesson Design posters are optional but highly recommended.
Every participant should have a whiteboard, eraser (tissues work just fine), and dry-erase marker
Ideally, teachers are seated with the same Year levels, so they can practice strategies and lessons appropriate for their year level
One lesson compilation book for every 3 participants :
print the Lesson Compilation book for each grade level span; typically you only need 1 lesson book for every 3 teachers to share.
specific grade level of books are PP - Y3, Y4 - Y6, and Y7 - Y12 (total of 3 books)
