Dartmouth Emerging Engineers (DEE) is here to help!

Mission

The mission of the DEE program is to improve the first-year experience of students entering Dartmouth with an interest in engineering. As part of the program we provide support and mentoring to these students in order to ensure they gain a solid academic foundation prior to beginning engineering courses.

What We Do

  • Train upperclass engineering TAs to provide support to rising engineering students as they work through prerequisite courses.

  • Organize advising events with Thayer professors.

  • Help students connect with upperclass students, graduate students, professors, and each other.

What You Get

  • Free group study sessions.

  • Empathetic TAs.

  • Advising from engineering faculty.

  • A supportive community of engineering students.

  • Invitations to engineering events, such as project presentations and machine shop tours.

  • Snacks!

Courses We Support

  • MATH 1, 3, 8, 11, 13

  • PHYS 13, 14

  • COSC 1, 10

  • CHEM 5

  • ENGS 1, 20
