Hiding your streaming habits can increase your privacy and improve the recommendations you see. Here’s how to clear your viewing history on some of the major streaming platforms.
1. On the Website:
- Hover over your profile picture in the top right corner.
- Choose Account and then Manage Profiles.
- Click on your profile and select **Viewing Activity**.
- Each item in the list has a Hide button on the right. Click it to remove the title from your history.
- To hide an entire series, you'll be prompted when you hide one episode.
- There's also a Hide All button at the bottom of the list to clear everything.
2. On Mobile Apps:
- Tap My Netflix.
- Scroll down to the recently watched section.
- Tap the three dots on any thumbnail and select **Hide From Watch History.

- Go to [tv.apple.com](https://tv.apple.com) and sign in.
- Click the profile icon and then Settings.
- Scroll down to **Play History** and click Clear Play History.
- Confirm by clicking **Clear Play History again.
2. On the TV App (macOS):
- Open the TV menu and choose Settings.
- Under the Advanced tab, click Clear Play History.

- Click History in the left-hand navigation panel.
- Click the X next to any video to remove it from your watch history.
- Options to Clear all watch history and Pause watch history are also available.
- Select Manage all history to see a full list of everything you've watched.
2. On Mobile Apps:
- Tap your profile picture and go to Settings.
- Select History & privacy.
- Tap Clear watch history or Pause watch history.
1. Privacy: If you share your account with others, you might not want them to see everything you've watched.
2. Improved Recommendations: Removing content you didn't like or that was watched by others (like kids' shows) can help keep your recommendations relevant.
