Job title: Peripatetic Music Teacher - French Horn, Lower Brass & Theory
Pay range: £41.02 (including holiday pay)
Working pattern: Variable, currently approximately 2-3 hours per week, 30 weeks a year, during the term time
Starting September 2024
We are seeking an experienced French Horn, Lower Brass & Theory Teacher to teach our enthusiastic students and prepare them for exams and musical performances. As well as teaching the job includes organising your timetable and register, communicating with parents when necessary and annual report writing.
Responsibilities:
Visiting Music Teachers are asked to write reports on their pupils once a year in the summer term.
Visiting Teachers organise their own timetables with most lessons on rotation
Visiting music teachers may be involved in coaching chamber groups
Visiting music teachers are expected to communicate with parents when necessary.
We would like you to have:
Essential:
Experience in teaching French Horn, Lower Brass & Theory up to Grade 8 and beyond.
Experience in preparing students for musical performances and exams and wider musical education
Ability to coach groups
A natural communicator
Knowledge of Google Classroom and Google Drive to keep accurate records
