Line Manager: Examinations Officer
Pay Range: £14 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Work Pattern: Casual, Zero Hours
Start Date: TBC
Core Purpose
To oversee and supervise examinations and to ensure that guidelines and regulations for the integrity and security of the examination papers and procedures are followed during examination sessions.
Main duties and responsibilities
To assist in the setting up of examination rooms
To ensure all candidates receive appropriate examination question papers, answer papers and any supporting materials such as formula books and set texts
To be aware of any needs that candidates may have during an examination
To ensure answer scripts are collected in candidate number order where possible and are supervised as required until they are delivered to the examinations officer
To ensure candidates obey the regulations of an examination room as laid out in the examination guidelines
To maintain security and confidentiality
To alert the examination office or a designated member of staff of absentees as early as possible before the start of the examination
To ensure no inappropriate items are brought into the examination hall, such as mobile phones, MP3 players, revision notes or other paperwork unless told otherwise
Ensure all candidates are aware of any erratum notice that may affect them
To ensure there is no talking or disruption for the candidates once an examination has begun
To ensure that invigilators DO NOT help candidates in any way with the question paper
To assist in other activities as may reasonably be requested by the centre from time to time
Compliance
The post holder is required to be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding; child protection; health and safety; confidentiality and data protection and report all concerns to an appropriate person.

We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required for all posts.
Additional Information
All staff are required to participate in training and other learning activities and in performance management and development as required by the Trust’s policies and practices.
There is the possibility of Trust wide, remunerated work for a suitably qualified candidate.
