Dress Rehearsal Week Information
Instead of holding a dress rehearsal at the venue, we will have dress rehearsal during our regular class times the week before the showcase. This will be our dress rehearsal week!
When is dress rehearsal week? Monday, June 2nd through Saturday, June 7th, 2025
What time does my dancer need to be at dress rehearsal week? Dancers will come to their normal class during dress rehearsal week. There will be no extra rehearsals or time changes this week.
Why not do a dress rehearsal at the venue? This will allow our dancers to focus on adjusting to the space, lighting, and sound. It will also help our teachers make proper changes, if needed, without having to worry about students changing.
What does the dancer bring/wear to class during dress rehearsal week? Students will practice in their costumes during their regular class time. Dancers should wear their costumes and tights to class. They should also come with full hair and makeup. It is recommended for dancers 6&up to bring a change of clothes to class in case we decide to change out of our costumes mid-class.
What is the purpose of tech rehearsal?
As the name suggests, tech rehearsal allows us to work out the technical aspects of each dance, such as making sure the music is clear and the lighting matches the movements. This also allows the students to become familiar with the bigger floor dimensions and stage entrances.
We will run the dance twice during each time slot to increase comfort level. Attendance is mandatory for all.
What time/day do I have to be there for tech rehearsal?
Tech rehearsal will be held at the performance venue on Friday, June 13th. See below for the exact times you are scheduled for.
Please be at the theater, dressed, warmed-up and ready to dance at least 10 minutes before your first scheduled rehearsal time. If we are running late, we sincerely apologize. If we are running ahead - it's a good thing that you're early!
Parents/guardians of dancers younger than 6th grade must stay at the venue with their dancer during tech rehearsal.
What should I wear?
For tech rehearsal, dancers should come with the correct hair and make up done. They should wear a black leotard with leggings or shorts over it for tech rehearsal. This clean look will help the teachers make corrections and help our tech crew properly light our dancers.
Due to our limited time, we have decided that our tech rehearsal will not require dancers to wear their costumes for each number. In lieu of a traditional dress rehearsal, dancers will have a dress rehearsal class the week prior to the show. (See above for Dress Rehearsal Week Information). Tech Rehearsal Schedule
To read our tech rehearsal schedule you will need to know the day and time of your dancer's weekly class. For example, if your class is on Mondays at 5:45, your class code will read M545. The class code will be followed by initials which refers to your instructor:
