Dalton Model Congress

We're a fun-loving community of debaters and legislators. Join us to celebrate our 50th anniversary as the foremost Model Congress team in the country!

Aside from attending conferences around the country like Princeton  Model Congress, Yale Model Congress, Harvard Model Congress San Francisco, and HarvardxModel Congress Boston, we encourage our participants to become confident public speakers, writers, and critical thinkers. Participation in competitive, university-run conferences provides students with supportive environments in which to gain knowledge about current events and congressional procedures and improve upon skills of extemporaneous speaking, persuasive writing, and problem solving. The Model Congress team distinguishes itself with a rare combination of spectacular success in competition alongside its inclusive, welcoming atmosphere for students of all grades, backgrounds, identities, and prior experiences.

We host two conferences every year at Dalton, one in the Fall to give novice and underclassmen students a chance to try out the activity and a second larger conference in the Spring (which this year will be held on April 20th). Each conference and our organization as a whole is dedicated to teaching and inspiring the leaders of tomorrow with the ideas of today.
