DASD Distance Learning:

Family Resource Center

PHASE II - DASD Flexible Instructional Framework

(Current Work)

Flexible Instructional Days (FIDs) are an alternate form of instruction in place of a day otherwise canceled. DASD has been approved to use FIDs from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and these days will be considered days of school. On a FID, students will complete learning assignments provided by their teacher at home to support the continuation of learning activities in a variety of ways designed by the grade-level and/or subject-level team, which may include the use of a multitude of online learning tools and/or offline activities. Students will have the opportunity to engage in subject area content that would have originally taken place during a regular school day. Additional enrichment resources and optional activities may also be provided for exploration.

PHASE I - DASD Distance Learning Menu/Enrichment

(Previous Work)

Optional activity menus will be posted on the DASD Distance Learning Framework website for families and students to access menus of activities to self-select to support student exploration in an array of curricular connected areas based on grade levels and/or departments/courses (Menu format: PDF). Students will not need to make up these days, due to the waiver from the Pennsylvania Department of Education for the 2019-20 school year.
