Medical Laboratory 11th & 12th; Phlebotomy Certification
This two-year program provides students with the basic skills and knowledge needed to study health sciences at the college level. Students learn how to perform diagnostic tests such as red & white cell counts, bleeding time, parasite identification, glucose monitoring, and urinalysis
Student internships: Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, UT Southwestern Hospital, Methodist Dallas Medical Center, MetroPaws Veterinary Clinic during both years.
Student internship attire: Royal blue scrubs and tennis shoes
Certifications:
Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)- performs blood-drawing procedures on patients and blood donors.
Medical Laboratory Assistant (CMLA)- Processes specimens, delivers them to laboratory departments, teaches phlebotomy skills, and participates in patient education and intake.
