This course will prepare you for the senior-level PCT Course. You will participate in hands-on activities related to patient care skills including vital signs, bed making, patient bathing, and hygiene.

Patient Care Technician 12th

This 12th-grade state certification course builds on the foundational patient care skills introduced in 11th grade, expanding student training to include phlebotomy, collection of non-blood specimens, and essential job-readiness skills, along with an eight-week non-paid internship at a local healthcare facility.

Certifications: 

• Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)- performs blood-drawing procedures on patients and blood donors.

• Patient Care Technician (CPCT/A)- assists in providing care to patients in outpatient or long-term care facilities
