Once an industry partner selects a program of study to support it, we initiate a structured collaboration process to ensure a meaningful and aligned partnership. Here’s what to expect:
We bring together key Career Institute North team members—the director, assistant principal, program coordinator, counselor, and teachers—to meet with the industry partner. This session sets the foundation for collaboration throughout the year.
The instructional team shares an overview of the selected program of study, including:
Curriculum highlights
Industry-aligned skills taught
Student readiness and interests
This helps ensure the partner understands how their support connects directly to student outcomes.
Partners are given a guided tour of our facilities, showcasing classrooms, labs, equipment, and student workspaces relevant to the program. Tours can be arranged virtually for convenience.
Together, we outline meaningful ways the partner can engage with our students, such as
Guest speaking opportunities
Workplace tours or job shadowing
Real-world projects or mentorship
Internships, practicums, and employment pathways
We establish communication channels, assign points of contact, and set a shared timeline for activities and check-ins throughout the school year.
