When creating content for social media, consider what you are trying to achieve...
Are you teaching about a topic or how to develop a skill?
Are you providing entertainment value?
Are you informing your audience about something important?
Are you inspiring people to do something?
The content you post must affirm at least one (if not many) of the questions above.
People are inundated with social media content; we only have seconds to capture someone's attention.
If text is needed in a graphic for social media, please limit to approximately 50 characters. Do your best to supplement the graphic with eye-catching and high-quality imagery. Limit posting news and event flyers to Daemen social feeds.
We may mirror creative elements from advertising campaigns and/or direct mailers. Please be aware that editing may be required to make it contextual to the platform.
Option 1. When preparing text-heavy work for Instagram, create a carousel, allowing more space for the text.
Option 2. For pieces that are more visually compact, re-format the Instagram creative for a square layout.
Understand your audience. What you say and show to one group may not resonate with another.
Ensure the subject of your post is easily understood.
Be aware of the inherent rules of each social media platform (and adhere to them)
Be authentic and genuine. Build relationships by providing value.
Don't post just for the sake of posting. Be consistent with purposeful content.
Use analytics often to see what content resonates best with your audience.
Advertisements share varied and vibrant student experiences with imagery that emphasizes diversity, a supportive community, and professional excellence.
Content showcases campus stories and student life.
We highlight examples of the career mobility of our alumni, outcomes and return on investment, and the convenience and flexibility of a Daemen University education.
Please note that all Daemen advertising must go through the offices of Multimedia & Digital Strategy and Branding & Design for approval. Our marketing team will work directly with advertising partners to ensure quality control.
