Who's ready to read...for PRIZES!? Yep, that's right, this year you can earn tickets for a chance to win outstanding books throughout the year.

*3 tickets for turning in a reading log, signed by your parents, showing you read At LEAST 20 minutes every night (weekends and holidays too!)

*1 ticket for receiving a 100% on a reading project/quiz

*3 tickets for meeting your reading goal

*1 ticket to each student if Room 301 receives a class slip for hallway behavior.

*1 ticket for receiving a BEE sticker.

*1 ticket for each point your classroom team earns for following directions THE FIRST TIME, showing teamwork, and being ready to learn.

In the classroom, I have a bulletin board where I will post pictures of the 3 books that will be raffled off for the month. I will provide a brief description of the books. Underneath each picture, there will be a cup. When you earn raffle tickets, decide which book you want to try and win, and put your tickets in that book's cup. Once you place your ticket into a cup, it stays there - you cannot change your mind. You may place tickets in more than one cup if you feel you have a better chance of winning a different book as the month goes on.

At the end of each month, we will do a drawing, and the name I pick from the cup is the winner of that book! I will also post the winners in The Weekly Bulletin.
