Wow! Guinness World Record set by Plainfield

Plainfield has set a Guinness World Record for sport stacking! Thank you and congratulations to Mr. Schellhorn and our awesome Peacemakers! Our Peacemakers stacked 624,390 cups for a Guinness World Record!

Winter Weather:

During the winter months, we intend to go outdoors every day (weather permitting) at recess and expect students to be dressed to match the weather conditions. Please send your child to school each day with hats, gloves and an appropriate jacket. Students will need to have boots and snow pants in order to play in the snow. Extra winter clothing may be stored in lockers. Please call the Main Office with any questions :)

In anticipation of emergency closing, we have created the following flyer so you can “Know Before You Go” regarding possible school closures. The flyer is available in English, Spanish and Polish

Gentle reminder:

• School begins at 9:00 each day, please arrive on time; Outdoor supervision begins at 8:45 a.m.
• Attendance is the strongest predictor of student success. Attendance matters :) We love having all of our students here engaged in joyous learning every day!

¡Wow! Récord mundial de Guinness establecido por Plainfield

¡Plainfield ha establecido un récord mundial de Guinness por el apilamiento deportivo! ¡Gracias y felicidades al Sr. Schellhorn y nuestros Peacemakers increíbles ! ¡Nuestros Peacemakers apilaron 624,390 tazas para un récord mundial Guinness!

Clima invernal:

Durante los meses de invierno, tenemos la intención de salir al aire libre todos los días (si el clima lo permite) durante el recreo, y esperamos que los estudiantes se vistan de acuerdo con las condiciones climáticas. Favor de enviar a su hijo(a) a la escuela todos los días con gorros, guantes y un abrigo. Los estudiantes deberán tener botas y pantalones de nieve para poder jugar en la nieve. Ropa extra de invierno puede ser almacenada en los casilleros. Por favor llame a la oficina principal con cualquier pregunta :)

La escuela comienza a las 9:00 cada día, por favor llegue a tiempo; La supervisión al aire libre comienza a las 8:45 a.m.

La asistencia es el predictor más fuerte del éxito de los estudiantes. La asistencia es importante :) ¡Nos encanta que todos nuestros estudiantes participen en un aprendizaje alegre todos los días!

Chicago Bears Mini Monster Clinic:

We had a wonderful time with our 4th and 5th grade Mini Monsters Clinic with the Chicago Bears. Chicago Bears Mini Monsters Team and Mr. Anthony Morgan, retired player, delivered motivational messages and engaged our 4th and 5th graders in active play and movement, focusing on health and wellness practices. La clínica de “los mini-monstruos ” de los osos de Chicago

Pasamos un tiempo maravilloso con nuestra Clínica de Mini Monsters de 4º y 5º grado con los Osos de Chicago. El equipo de los Mini Monstruos de los Osos de Chicago y el Sr. Anthony Morgan, jugador jubilado, transmitieron mensajes motivadores y involucraron a nuestros alumnos de 4º y 5º grado en juegos activos y movimientos, centrándose en las prácticas de salud y bienestar. With winter upon us, District 62 has collaborated with the Des Plaines Police Department to create a brief communication for families regarding student safety as they walk home from school. Click for English, Spanish, or Polish.
