Mrs. Jorgenson's Website

I have been joyfully teaching since 1991 in District 57 (33 years!). I believe that all children can learn and excel if they give effort and pay attention in a caring, safe, and challenging environment. I enjoy teaching the curriculum with eagerness and fidelity. I am married to my best friend, Craig, and have two sons named Erik and Hayden. We love living in Mt. Prospect. I have two dogs named Pablo and Maggie. My hobbies are spending time with my family and friends, walking my puppies, reading, cooking, raising butterflies, and gardening.

Florida is our favorite place to visit because we love the beach walking and sunsets!

Erik lives in Colorado where he can be fun and adventurous when he's not working.

Hayden is a realtor at Baird & Warner. He loves Frisbee Golf and Rock Climbing.

Mrs. Jorgenson is the youngest of 4 girls.

My Summer Hobby: Raising butterflies!

Here is a Swallowtail Butterfly that I raised from an egg. It is a boy. You know this because if it has a lot of yellow, it is a fellow. The caterpillars eat fennel, dill, and parsley.

Here is a beautiful Monarch Butterfly that I raised from an egg. The caterpillars eat Milkweed. We will study insects and butterflies later this year! We will study Painted Lady Butterflies in the spring.
