On November 13, four college students at the University of Idaho were brutally murdered on the second and third floors of their home. Many speculations have arisen this past month. The night of November 13 all six roommates were at a party on greek row when the girls whose rooms were on the first floor arrived home first around 1:00 am. The girls on the second floor stopped by a food truck and arrived home around the same time as the first-floor roommates around 1:45 am as well. The couple on the third floor's whereabouts were unclear but it was known that they were at the home before 2:00 am. Police said that the victims were attacked in their sleep, but two victims had shown signs of self-defense. The two roommates on the first floor survived and contacted the police around 11:00 am the following morning. Freshman William seriani said “It is crazy to think that there is a possible serial killer on the loose. In my life, there hasn’t been a super serious and disturbing murder like the one that just happened.” People who are looking into the murders have started to question whether this is a serial killer that is a copycat to one of the most iconic serial killers, Ted Bundy. Copycats typically follow kill patterns, victim profiling, and area. As we look at the murders people are trying to find connecting factors with stabbings in Oregon, Washington, and Utah. If the murderer is in fact a copycat that leaves colorado on the list. Stay safe and keep the families who have lost in your thoughts as we move into the holiday season.
