Senior Football player Tyler Hinton is the male athlete of the week. Tyler plays Defensive End and is on the Offensive Line for your Palisade Bulldogs.Tyler started playing in the first grade “I started playing football in the first grade for the targets, my dad made me play and eventually I found a love for the sport.” With this being Tyler’s 12th year playing and his 4th year playing football for Palisade, the team has gotten to see how he has grown during high school. With a total of 19 solo tackles and 34 assisted tackles he works his way to advancing further than he did last year. He needs two more solo tackles to up his game from last season. When asked the scariest moment in football he said “the most nerve racking moment in football so far was when I started for my first game junior year.” “I get to hangout and spend time with my friends. I also get to hit people as hard as I can and not get in trouble for it,” is why Hinton says he loves the game of football. In an interview Tyler said he would tell his younger self “don’t play offensive or defensive line, pick a skilled position.” Tyler hopes to further his football career by taking it to the next level in college. He said “even if I don’t go to college for football I’m still going to go and figure out what to study along the way.” Come support Tyler and his teammates this Friday at stocker stadium. Also wish Tyler luck as he moves forward to college.
