The Softball team takes home an epic win.
This past Tuesday, the Varsity Softball team took home a giant win against Delta. With really good bats and base running, it was clear they would defeat the Panthers. The total score was 13-1. Madi Gray, a freshman, has been playing softball for 6 years and will continue playing throughout the rest of her high school career. “I really like team bonding,” she says, “and the coaches are good too.” Madi is a catcher on the varsity team and is excited to see how the rest of the season goes. Setting a new record last night from the game (11-2 was their old record), the Bulldogs are going strong. Macie Roberts, a freshman, hit a triple, double and a single during the game. This means she made it to third base, second base, and first base. Many records and hits were made, and we hope to keep seeing them. JV was planning to play Wednesday night but sadly the game got canceled because of rainy weather. But it isn’t just varsity who gets to have all the playing fun. Playing her first year, Tya Pinnt plays right field on JV. “I enjoy that most of the girls are supporting and you can pick it up fast if you have the right people helping.” Tya is a sophomore and hopes to continue playing the sport. Practicing an hour and a half every day after school, the softball team is prepared for their next game and we wish them luck.
