On Thursday, September 15, 2022, our Boys Golf season ended with a bang, when Blake Hooker made an outstanding hole in one at Keystone Ranch in Dillon Colorado. With this year being Blake’s senior year, as well as his last high school golf season, he sure did make an impression with that last game.
Golf may look like just trying to get a ball into a hole, but people miss the bigger picture, golf is a huge mental sport while it mentally challenges you, also requiring a great amount of patience. Blake Hooker explains this in an interview, “It seems pretty easy, but like you gotta think it’s a little ball and there's a lot of places for it to go.” So when he made that hole in one, there was a sense of accomplishment and excitement as well as enthusiasm. It really is an amazing way to end the season with a bang.
A hole in one is the “ultimate” hit with one hit from point A to point B. While 10 points is the most you can receive from a hit. So you can only imagine the excitement Blake was feeling when that hole in one took place. Let’s hope Blake Hooker has another amazing golf season wherever he chooses to continue his amazing golf skills.
