Who doesn’t love a good Taco? Well on Wednesday, August 31st business was booming at the new Taco Bell location in Orchard Mesa for the grand opening. In an interview with a trainee at the Clifton location, Kelly Love said, “A day before the opening, the members had a team meeting, and 6 cars showed up in just the first 20 minutes thinking the store was open.” The fast arrival of customers implied that Taco Bell is going to have a very busy first day ahead of them.
Especially since the many new people that are going to start work here are almost all new and have been trained weeks/ days before the grand opening, but there were a good amount of people who decided to switch stores to start working at the new Orchard Mesa store. For example, Kelly Love was trained 6 days prior to the opening (with no knowledge of the Taco Bell system) to be a service champion but was then switched on his last day of training to be a fryer for the new store.
The job of a fryer is usually always in the back of the store, so Kelly gets to usually see the back of the store. Though Kelly Love said, “The lobby looks great, but the back of the store not so much.” Furthermore, the lobby of the new store was said to be more appealing to the eye than most of the stores that have been standing for a while. With new tech and the whole building itself being brand new, this store is going to outshine others.
