August 20th, 2022 was one devastating night for the friends and family of Jordan Turley when they got the phone call of a deadly car accident. In the area of E road and Duffy Dr. in the late hours of 11:00 pm to 12:00 pm, the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash.
Saturday night when two adult men were moving eastbound along A Road a deadly rollover occurred. The driver was safely transported to a local hospital where it was determined there were no life-threatening injuries to him due to the horrible car accident.
Sadly, his friend Jordan was not as lucky. Turley’s life was lost after being brutally thrown out of the passenger seat after receiving multiple blunt force injuries and declared dead on the scene.
The family of Jordan hosted a celebration on Sunday, August 28th at Long Family Memorial Park to share memories and celebrate his life. Alan Shriver, Jordan's friend said “ Truly a great kid, son, father, friend, brother, and great human in general. Going to miss him.” Jordan was very loved and seen as a very lovable person. “Always going to remember your goofiness.” His friends and family are grieving heavily.
Nothing can fill the void he left behind for those close to him. He will always be remembered by those he loved and those who knew him. Take this as a sign to drive safely, life could easily be shortened.
