The Palisade Bulldogs are growing its pack and making students get involved on campus, with the new running with the pack app. The running with the pack app involves students and rewarding them with prizes for going to sporting events and having clues and QR codes pasted around the school as a scavenger hunt. When asked what the running with the pack app was about Alex Smith said “The running with the pack
app is intended to foster a sense of community and belonging amongst the students, and to incentivises active participation on campus.” Now, what does active participation look like? It looks like different things for different students like going to sporting events or fine art events. Zenon Reece even had an idea saying “I think it would be great if they could put on auditions”. Which would give students more incentive to go and give it a shot in theater or other fine arts. In turn, students earn points to win prizes for going to school events. But what are the prizes? Right now it is a lanyard and a T-shirt and with some prize ideas being a buddy lunch where a freshman or sophomore could leave campus with an upperclassman. Also, things like maroon, white and silver water bottles, movie tickets and free dance passes. Prizes in the future can also be decided by students going to the administration staff and giving ideas for prizes that students would like to see.
