No bench, no halftime, no timeouts, welcome to the world of cross country. Starting off the season our boy's team came in 7th still with a lot to share. At a time of 16:39, Zenon Reece came in 9th place out of 62 finishers.“I'm just getting started,” Zenon said, ”This was just a good race to see where I was and now I want to keep pushing and place even higher.” Zenon is a Senior at Palisade and has been running cross country all 4 years of high school. Zenon said his main inspiration for running is just the running culture. He said the team is a lot bigger this year which is super exciting and he feels really good about how the team will do this year.
The Palisades girl’s cross country team scored third in last Saturday's race. Ema Babnic grade 10 ran her first cross country race last weekend. “Running has been really fun,” Ema told me “Running is really relaxing and it really helps me clear my head.” She was super happy finishing her first race and is excited about the rest of the season.
